To avoid counterfeit parts, there is only one sure way to protect yourself and your company, and that is to buy from the original manufacturer or their authorized distributors.

With the growing problem of substandard parts entering the market, the SIA, Rochester Electronics and the manufacturers in this Guide have teamed together to create a reference source for purchasing from authorized channels.

The purpose fo the Guide is simple. It is your handbook for finding an authorized distributor for the parts that will guarantee their traceability. The SIA Anti-Counterfeit Task Force, Rochester, and semiconductor manufacturers are providing this to ensure the reliability and safety of the products being purchased. We hope this useful tool will be valuable to customers and will seriously reduce the problems associated with counterfeit and substandard product currently in the supply chain.
